“The Two Sisters” – by H Meisel for Rosenthal

A gorgeous delicate hand painted porcelain figure group titled “The Two Sisters” by Rosenthal. This group was designed by Hugo Meisel (1887-1966) and was created c1937.

Meisel was a German artist who was born in Lichte in 1887 and worked for a number of porcelain makers, including Rosenthal, Volkstat, Heubach and Schwarzberger. It is understood that Meisel worked for Rosenthal in the 1936-37 period designing a number of detailed figures and figure groups.

27cm high 21cm wide	Printed factory marks on the underside together with impressed modeller’s signature.	Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restorations.
