Katzhütte – Hertwig & Co – Art Deco Dancer

This is a brightly coloured porcelain figurine of an art deco dancer by the Porzellanfabrik Hertwig & Co otherwise known as Katzhutte. She has stylised deco modelling in a banana dance pose and wearing bright pantaloons.

Printed mark on the underside.

Dance Champions – Art Deco Figure by Hutschenreuther

An unusual art deco porcelain figure group of a couple dancing the tango designed by Werner for the German firm, Hutschenreuther. Hand decorated in multi pastel colours and fully marked on the underside.

This version is signed “Werner” on the base and has marks to indicate a date of c1946-1948.

27cm high 26cm wide	Fully printed marks on the underside. Artist signature on the base.	Excellent without faults.

Hutschenruther – “Balance”

A stunning art deco porcelain figurine of a dancer balancing a ball on her foot. Created in the art department of the German factory, Hutschenreuther.

This version is decorated with a flesh coloured satin glaze with hand painted detail on her face. The ball are white and the base is decorated with a gilt coloured geometric design.

Rosenthal – Spring by Dorothea Charol

Rosenthal – “Spring” by Dorothea Charol

A delightful art deco porcelain figure tited “Spring”; designed by Dorothea Charol (1889-1963) for Rosenthal and dating to c1940. It has very delicate modelling and hand painted decoration. It has full factory and designers marks on the underside and signed “D Charol” twice on the base.

Rosenthal – Drinking Girl

Rosenthal – Drinking Girl by Ernst Wenck

This is a stunning art deco period porcelain figurine titled “The Drinking Girl” designed by Ernst Wenck (German 1865-1929) and produced by the German firm, Rosenthal. This figure was made in three sizes, this example being the middle and best size.

Ernst Wenck was a German artist/sculptor born in Reppen. He studied at thef the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. During a successful career he became a member and later the Vice Chairman of the Berlin Secession. In 1922 he was appointed a member of the Academy of Arts.

16cm high 16cm long	Full printed makers marks on the underside together with the artists signature.	Excellent – No chips, cracks or restorations.
