King Charles Spaniel by F Diller for Rosenthal

A hand painted porcelain model of a seated King Charles Spaniel designed by F Diller and made by the German firm, Rosenthal. It has life like modelling and hand painted colours in light browns. It is fully marked with makers and signed “F Diller” on the base. Model number K257 is impressed on the underside and without a date, which suggests a mid 1920’s date.

Fritz Diller (1876-1946) was a sculptor/artist working in bronze and porcelain whose subjects were mainly animals and especially dogs.

8cm wide 6cm high.	Fully printed makers marks on the underside. Signed “F Diller”. Impressed model number K257.	Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restorations.
